Summer Outside Events
Start summer off with some fun lessons in safe, responsible outdoor recreation with R.O.A.R. on Saturday, June 12, and FISH on Saturday, June 19. Demonstration Days feature Salish art and traditional skills on June 18 and July 8.
Trekker Kids is a series of activities and programs for kids and families that celebrate the outdoors of western Montana and the rich history of the Travelers’ Rest site.
Expedition Days commemorates Lewis’ & Clark’s 1806 camp at Travelers’ Rest with hands-on history activities, demonstrations, guided tours and more!
SELF-GUIDED SITE TOUR
Pick up a brochure at the Visitor Center and follow the markers around a half-mile loop trail.
HOLT HERITAGE MUSEUM AND VISITOR CENTER
Exhibits include Seasons of the Salish, Lewis and Clark Expedition Replicas, a diorama of the Expedition’s campsite at Travelers’ Rest, Native American beadwork and handcrafts, natural history specimens and more.
